The Kentucky Wildcats are off to a slow start in the 2020 recruiting class, but the players they are landing are quality athletes.
On Monday afternoon, coach Mark Stoops and his staff picked up a commitment from a local 3-star quarterback prospect — Lexington Catholic’s Beau Allen.
Allen announced his decision during a ceremony at his high school, which was attended by his parents, teammates, coaches and others.
Per the 247Sports composite, Allen is the No. 21 pro-style quarterback in the class of 2020 and the No. 5 overall recruit from the state of Kentucky.
Allen is the fourth player in Kentucky’s 2020 recruiting class, which ranked No. 51 in the nation and No. 12 in the SEC prior to his commitment, per 247Sports.
