Although a $10 traffic ticket led to a Friday arrest for Jonathan Nance, it doesn’t appear that the incident will affect the Missouri wide receiver’s status for Saturday’s home game vs. Tennessee.
According to Dave Matter of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Nance will dress for Saturday’s game and be available to play. Missouri is aware of the receiver’s arrest and plans to handle it internally.
Nance was pulled over for failing to stop at a sign on Friday, which is when the police discovered an outstanding warrant for his failure to appear in court on Aug. 14. The original ticket was for not wearing his seatbelt in June.
After getting taken to Boone County Jail, Nance’s bond was set at $100.
This season, Nance is Missouri’s leading receiver with 27 receptions for 410 yards and three touchdowns. It’s his first season with the Tigers after transferring from Arkansas.
Missouri and Tennessee are set to kick off on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET on SEC Network.
