Missouri picks up second commitment from Florida in as many days

Barry Odom’s squad has some momentum recruiting in Florida. A day after Ocala, Fla. RB Glover Cook pledged to Missouri, the Tigers picked up another commitment from the Sunshine State, IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) CB Chris Shearin.

A 3-star prospect, the 5-11, 177-pound Shearin is rated the No. 163 cornerback and No. 205 recruit in the state of Florida on the 247Sports Composite. Shearin’s other Power 5 scholarship offers came from Duke, Maryland, N.C. State, Virginia and West Virginia. Interestingly enough, his 247Sports recruiting profile did not show a scholarship offer or interest from Missouri at the time of his commitment.

But a graphic and note tweeted by Shearin make it clear that he has committed to being a Tiger. He made the announcement Monday evening.
