Every year, former Georgia QB Matthew Stafford and his wife, Kelly, spread Christmas cheer by giving gifts to families in need.
This year, the Staffords visited with the families of two slain Detroit police officers, bringing gifts to the spouses and children of the fallen officers:

According to DawgNation.com, Stafford said the yearly tradition is important to Kelly and him:
โAnd this year it was a great opportunity considering we did two families of fallen police officers, people that protect us and lost their lives in the line of duty,โ the former Georgiaย quarterback told ESPNโs Michael Rothstein. โSomething we felt was important and just happy to do it.โ
Though the families are grieving in their first holiday season without their loved ones, hopefully the Staffords’ kind gesture will bring a little bit of light into a dark time in their lives.
