Rams haven’t heard from Tre Mason in seven months

When the Los Angeles Rams started training camp this week, former Auburn RB Tre Mason was nowhere to be found.

Mason was arrested in March 5 on reckless driving, marijuana possession and resisting arrest charges, but he hadn’t been in contact with the Rams before or after that night.

Coach Jeff Fisher said his concern with Mason goes beyond football at this point:

“Right now, we’re more concerned with Tre Mason’s well-being than we are his football career,” Rams coach Jeff Fisher told reporters at Rams training camp over the weekend. “We’re going to continue to try to reach him to see where he’s at.”

Fisher isn’t the only one worried about Mason. His family has recently said they’re concerned about some of Mason’s bizarre behavior and angry outbursts. Police have visited Mason’s home five times in the last four months.

Wherever Mason is, hopefully he is safe and focusing on his well-being. The 22-year-old former Auburn star hopefully has a lot of life left to live, regardless of if he ever plays football again.
