Report: Jabar Gaffney charged with felony after allegedly damaging Lito Sheppard’s car
It appears Jabar Gaffney is learning a lesson Dave Chappelle attempted to teach us all long ago — sometimes keeping it real can go wrong.
Gaffney has been accused by his former Florida and Raines High School teammate Lito Sheppard of vandalism. Apparently, the two former Gators have been feuding since 2012. According to Sheppard, Gaffney and his girlfriend damaged a BMW that belonged to Sheppard. He made these claims after viewing security tape footage he claims shows the alleged act.
According to a police report, here’s what Gaffney is accused of doing:
“Gaffney retrieved some type of tool and a container from the suspect’s vehicle, walked over to the passenger’s side of the victim’s vehicle near the gas tank, and pried it open,” the report said. “Gaffney then poured an unknown substance from the container into the gas tank … The unknown female walked around the vehicle and stabbed all of the tires with a sharp object.”
Following this incident, WJXT News4Jax is reporting that Gaffney has been charged with felony criminal mischief by Jacksonville police. The vandalism done to Sheppard’s vehicle is estimated to have done $14,000 worth of damage. Sheppard has also filed a restraining order against Gaffney.
