On Tuesday, the SEC released the 2019 schedule, and we’ve been breaking it down — who has the toughest schedule, the easiest schedule, etc.

Taking care of business at home is critical to success in the SEC, so we took a look at which teams have the easiest home schedules.

Below, we break down Kentucky’s, Alabama’s and Florida’s lackluster home schedules, which they should have no trouble dominating:

Kentucky

  • Aug. 31 — Toledo
  • Sept. 7 — Eastern Michigan
  • Sept. 14 — Florida
  • Oct. 12 — Arkansas
  • Oct. 26 — Mizzou
  • Nov. 9 — Tennessee
  • No. 23 — UT Martin
  • Nov. 30 — Louisville

Kentucky and Tennessee are the only SEC teams with eight home games in 2019, but the Vols at least have Georgia coming to Neyland Stadium. Mizzou and Florida seem to be the toughest challenges on the Wildcats’ home slate next year, and Mizzou will be without star QB Drew Lock, who will be playing on Sundays.

Alabama

  • Sept. 7 — New Mexico State
  • Sept. 21 — Southern Miss
  • Sept. 28 — Ole Miss
  • Oct. 19 — Tennessee
  • Oct. 26 — Arkansas
  • Nov. 9 — LSU
  • Nov. 23 — Western Carolina

Nothing really scares you on the Tide’s home schedule, outside of Nov. 9 against LSU. I wasn’t even aware Western Carolina was a school until the schedule came out, and I had to check to make sure it wasn’t an error that should have said “Western Kentucky.”

Florida

  • Sept. 7 — UT Martin
  • Sept. 21 — Tennessee
  • Sept. 28 — Towson
  • Oct. 5 — Auburn
  • Nov. 9 — Vanderbilt
  • Nov. 30 — Florida State

Yes, that Auburn game will be tough, and Tennessee usually plays the Gators tough, but there’s not much else there on Florida’s home schedule. They only have six home games, but they should go at least 5-1 at The Swamp next year.
