SEC leads the nation with 16 selections on 2018 Bronko Nagurski Trophy Watch List

It’s officially award watch week on the college football calendar as one watch list after another is eagerly sending out its preseason watch list for the upcoming 2018 season. The latest award to send out its list of players is the Bronko Nagurski Trophy.
In total, 97 players have been named to the watch list with the SEC having a nation-best 16 selections. The award is given out annually to the nation’s best defender. Each week during the season, the award names a Bronko Nagurski Player of the Week. The five finalists for the award will be named on Nov. 14.
