The Cleveland Cavaliers selected former Alabama G Collin Sexton with the No. 8 overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft on Thursday night, but their offseason excitement is just getting started.
That’s because superstar F LeBron James may opt out of his contract with the team and head elsewhere to continue his legendary career. Free agency begins on July 1, so Cavs fans will be nervous until then.
However, the Cavs are getting a solid player in Sexton, and Sexton made his case for King James to return to Cleveland this season:
"I see you need that one extra piece this past season. Let's do it, Let's go back to the finals. Let's do it."

Sexton would take some ball-handling pressure off of LeBron, and he’d provide some energy at the point guard position — something the team sorely needs.
Will it be enough to keep LeBron in town? That remains to be seen, but Sexton should be an impact player this season either way.
