WATCH: Deebo Samuel pulls off trick play, throws TD pass for Gamecocks

South Carolina had about as tough a start as you could imagine against Georgia, but once the Gamecocks composed themselves, they found the scoreboard.
WR Deebo Samuel took a hand off in motion and rolled right before he stopped short and found WR Bryan Edwards alone in the end zone for a touchdown. That brought the Gamecocks within 14-7 with 7:18 left in the first quarter.
Georgia coach Kirby Smart was concerned about Samuel’s versatility, from kick returns to rushing and receiving, and those concerns came to life in the first quarter. South Carolina clearly showed early that Samuel would be a big part of the offensive game plan as QB Jake Bentley targeted him several times even before the touchdown.
