J’Mon Moore hasn’t had the best preseason for the Green Bay Packers, but the rookie fourth-round pick showed some big-time improvement on Friday night against the Oakland Raiders.
After a couple of key drops in previous weeks, the former Mizzou star broke out in a big way against the Raiders, leading the Packers with four catches for 62 yards.
As you can see in the video below, Moore makes a nice grab in between two defenders and then hangs on as a safety delivers a hit that drew a flag:

These are the types of plays the Packers want to see from Moore, not the critical drops. But, much like his time at Mizzou, Moore will drop an occasional pass while also making some important plays and putting up a ton of yards.
What role he ends up having for the Packers this year remains to be seen, but it appears he’s making progress as the preseason wears on.
