WATCH: Surveillance video from ex-Alabama LB VanDarius Cowan’s bar fight released

On Monday morning, it was announced that Alabama LB VanDarius Cowan had been dismissed from the team for a violation of team rules, stemming from a bar fight that happened last week.
Later on Monday afternoon, the video of Cowan’s fight surfaced, and was posted on YouTube by The Tuscaloosa News.
As you can see below, the fight happens quickly, with only one punch appearing to be thrown before Cowan is subdued and escorted out of the bar:
Cowan, who was a 4-star signee from the 2017 class. As a freshman last year, he appeared in seven games, recording only two tackles.
With the Crimson Tide losing guys like Rashaan Evans and Shaun Dion Hamilton from their linebacking corps, Cowan was going to have a chance to earn more playing time this fall. Now, though, he’ll be looking for a new team after Alabama showed him the door.
