Tavien Feaster has been with South Carolina for nearly a month, and he’s still getting questions about Clemson. That doesn’t appear to change anytime soon, but the former Tigers running back at least is prepared with a clever answer.
Feaster, who graduated from Clemson before he officially joined the Gamecocks’ roster, was asked if he would watch Clemson’s season opener on Thursday against Georgia Tech.
“I believe I have class on Thursday,” he said, with a wry smile, according to video from Mike Gillespie of the ABC affiliate in Columbia.
Coach Will Muschamp on Tuesday praised Feaster’s first-class attitude during the transition, and the experienced back is expected to have a large impact on the offense this season starting Saturday against North Carolina.
Feaster churned out 1,330 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns on 222 carries at Clemson over 41 career games with 11 starts. He ranks second in Clemson history in career yards per carry (5.99) behind only Travis Etienne.
