Cornerback Lonnie Johnson Jr. wasn’t out of work for long.

The former second-round pick was waived by the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday and the Tennessee Titans claimed him off waivers Tuesday according to several reports.

Johnson, a former standout at Kentucky in 2017 and 2018, was a 2nd-round pick (54th overall) by the Houston Texans in the 2019 NFL Draft.

He has dealt with some injuries during his professional career and the Texans traded Johnson to the Chiefs for a 2024 conditional 7th-round pick in May.

Johnson, listed at 6-foot-2, 209 pounds, has one year remaining on his rookie contract.
