Getting through the dog days of camp at Ole Miss may just include blasting Rocky Top as the Rebels sweat through workouts.

It’s the kind of thing that coach Lane Kiffin loves to do to make some waves, and get people talking. He also made a Tennessee reference at SEC Media Days last month when he referenced his involvement in the
controversy surrounding Tim Tebow’s first-team All-SEC selection back in 2009.

All but one SEC coach voted Tebow as the first-team conference selection, and many rumors formed around then-Tennessee head coach Kiffin as the suspect.

The Vols, of course, went 7-6 under Kiffin in 2009 before he left for Southern Cal where he coached for 4 seasons. Kiffin’s Rebels are coming off a 5-5 season in 2020, and was picked to finish fourth in the SEC West this season, while QB Matt Corral was voted by the media that covers the league as the first-team All-SEC quarterback.
