The SEC Network liked what it saw from Andy Kennedy last spring enough to keep him around for another year.

Kennedy will serve the network as a college basketball analyst for the 2018-19 season, the SEC announced Tuesday. In March, the former Ole Miss coach was featured as part of the SEC Network’s studio coverage of the league’s men’s basketball tournament.

He coached the Rebels from 2006-18, finishing his tenure as the winningest coach in program history. Kennedy, the 2007 SEC Coach of the Year, led Ole Miss to the conference tournament championship in 2013.

“Having been a part of college basketball for over 28 years as both a player and a coach, including the last 12 seasons as a head coach in the SEC, I’m very excited to join the team at the SEC Network,” Kennedy said in the SEC statement announcing his hire. “Coming off an unprecedented season with eight SEC teams earning NCAA Tournament bids, this league has never been better.”
