Former Ole Miss DL Jerrell Powe tears into NCAA again after receiving diploma
When Jerrell Powe tried to enroll at Ole Miss, the defensive lineman ran into problems with the NCAA — problems that kept him off the field for two years.
He eventually got to suit up for the Rebels, and then eventually landed in the NFL for a five-year career.
Now, 13 years after he started his collegiate journey, he is finally an Ole Miss graduate. Ahead of his graduation ceremony, Powe sent a snarky invitation to the NCAA.
Following his ceremony, he again blasted the NCAA, saying it was surprising he hasn’t heard from them:
Well @NCAA – I heard from you every single day for 3 years as you tried to stop me from being the 1st in my family to go to college … FF… I graduated today and didn’t hear word 1 from you or anyone in your organization. That says it all doesn’t it? #ThankYouMama pic.twitter.com/LlsOhW0zrC

The important thing is that Powe finally earned his degree, even with all the hoops he had to jump through for the NCAA.
However, he won’t be letting go of this grudge any time soon, it appears.
