Ole Miss is trying to gain some traction in recruiting under new coach Lane Kiffin, and that includes current commitments across the SEC, like from Texas A&M.

Aggie commit and West Memphis, Arkansas native Chris Morris committed to Jimbo Fisher’s program about two months ago. Morris had an official visit to College Station for the Alabama game.

Morris is listed at 6-foot-3 1/2 and 287 pounds, and is the No. 4 offensive guard and a 4-star recruit, according to 247Sports. Morris reportedly committed to Texas A&M over Alabama, Tennessee and Arkansas. He has a reported 35 offers.

GigEm247 noted when Morris committed that while he’s listed as a guard, he may play outside when he gets to college.

“Morris also has long arms for someone that’s under 6 foot 5 and so it’s hard for defenders to get into his body. He can sink his hips and generate tremendous power behind his punches and sometimes it’s like he takes a paw and swats someone.
