Matt Lubick’s second tenure in Oxford lasted a whole 11 days.

After announcing that the former Oregon co-offensive coordinator had joined the coaching staff as receivers coach on Dec. 22, Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze confirmed Monday morning Lubick had accepted an offer to become Baylor’s new play-caller.

Lubick, who is the son of longtime Colorado State head coach Sonny Lubick, previously coached wide receivers at Ole Miss under Ed Orgeron in 2005 and 2006.

In addition to his time with Oregon, the 44-year-old also has coaching stops at Duke, Arizona State, Colorado State, Oregon State and San Jose State.
