There may not be a bigger surprise in the SEC on the 2019 recruiting trail than Ole Miss. The Rebels, already leading the league with 10 early commitments in the recruiting cycle, just picked up No. 11 with the pledge of Texas quarterback Grant Tisdale.

The Allen, Texas native is rated as the No. 8 dual-threat QB prospect in the nation and a four-star prospect by his 247Sports Composite Rankings. He commits to Ole Miss over scholarship offers from Mississippi State, Ohio State, Tennessee, and Texas A&M among others.

He announced his decision Friday afternoon on Twitter:

Of the Rebels 11 current commits for 2019, Tisdale is the second-highest rated prospect. Only running back Jerrion Ealy ranks as a better prospect at this time.
