Ole Miss’ 38-10 loss to Florida did not do the Rebels any favors in the national eye.

Just three weeks after its huge win at Tuscaloosa, Ole Miss finds itself back outside the top 10. The drubbing in The Swamp sent Ole Miss down from No. 3 to No. 14 in The AP Poll and No. 13 in the Coaches Poll, one spot behind the Gators.

Huge Freeze’s squad is now sitting behind four SEC teams in The AP Poll: No. 7 LSU, No. 8 Alabama, No. 9 Texas A&M and No. 11 Florida. The Crimson Tide and the Aggies picked up big wins over Georgia and Mississippi State, respectively, on Saturday.

The potent Ole Miss offense, which entered its game against Florida averaging 55 points per game, only managed 10 points with its lone touchdown coming with a little over four minutes left in the fourth quarter.

And the Rebels won’t get a chance to bounce back in conference play for another three weeks. Ole Miss will face New Mexico State and Memphis before hosting Texas A&M on Oct. 24 in Oxford.
