Bad news for former Ole Miss quarterback Chad Kelly.

On Tuesday, Kelly was arrested and charged with first-degree criminal trespassing, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. The incident occurred at 1:17 a.m.

Kelly was arrested in Englewood, Colo., and taken to Arapahoe County Jail, according to Nicki Jhabvala of The Athletic. The Broncos are aware of the incident.

No further details have been reported.

Kelly is in his second season with Denver after playing at Ole Miss from 2015-16. He was selected with the final pick of the 2017 NFL Draft, becoming “Mr. Irrelevant.”

After missing all of 2017 due to wrist surgery, Kelly has served as the backup to Case Keenum this season. With Keenum struggling, some fans have wanted to see Kelly get an opportunity to lead the Broncos’ offense.

Kelly has appeared in only one game this season and hasn’t thrown a pass during his NFL career.
