The 2016 season has been one most Ole Miss fans would like to forget. After losing star quarterback Chad Kelly, the Rebels turned to promising freshman Shea Patterson, but were unable to secure postseason eligibility thanks to a blowout loss in the Egg Bowl.

While the 5-7 season is disappointing to everyone, Patterson has promised that the Rebels will bounce back in a post to Twitter on Monday:

The former five-star prospect made his debut on Nov. 12, leading Ole Miss to a thrilling victory over Texas A&M. In three games this season, Patterson went 72-of-132 passing for 880 yards, 6 touchdowns and 3 interceptions.
