Spencer Sanders announced his decision to transfer to Ole Miss on Thursday morning, giving the Rebels’ QB room yet another shakeup.

Earlier in the week, Ole Miss received a commitment from LSU transfer quarterback Walker Howard. The Rebels also still have a returning QB in Jaxson Dart, who finished 7th in the SEC in passer efficiency rating last season.

Sanders is a veteran who has led Oklahoma State for the past 4 seasons. He leaves Stillwater as one of the most decorated QB’s in program history. He’s second all-time in passing yards and third in passing touchdowns.

Howard, meanwhile, is much less experienced but has impressive pedigree as a prospect. He was a 4-star recruit in the class of 2022 and just finished his true freshman season at LSU.

Dart has been relatively efficient at both USC and Ole Miss in his career, but stumbled at times last season for the Rebels. Still, his experience in this offense shouldn’t be completely ignored as he prepares to fight 2 newcomers for the starting job.

If all 3 of those quarterbacks remain on the roster until the fall, that creates a crowded situation in Oxford.

Here’s some of the reaction to Sanders’ decision — and the potential fall-out:
