WATCH: Ex-Ole Miss TE Evan Engram scores first NFL TD, gets flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct
Evan Engram can do it all, and he scored his first NFL TD on Monday Night Football.
Although Engram plays TE, he lined up at fullback and slipped past the Detroit Lions’ defense. QB Eli Manning then hit Engram on the 18-yard TD, but the pass catcher also picked up an unsportsmanlike penalty following the play.
The former Ole Miss TE caught four passes for 44 yards last week against the Cowboys, but he didn’t find the end zone. The Giants picked Engram in the first round (No. 23 overall) in this spring’s NFL Draft.
He’ll never forget this one, as Engram’s TD reception gave the Giants a 7-0 lead.
That’s a way to respond. Eli to Evan Engram for his first in the NFL. Nice play fake. 7-7. #DETvsNYG pic.twitter.com/VKq6ZRUlmA
