WATCH: The most controversial play in the SEC happened Saturday night
With Ole Miss driving in overtime on Saturday night, the Rebels needed a touchdown to send the game to double overtime.
They thought they got it when QB Jordan Ta’amu found WR AJ Brown in the corner of the end zone, with Brown making a nice snag.
However, as you can see below, Brown had the ball knocked away when he hit the turf, and the officials ruled that it was not a catch, despite the fact that it looked an awful lot like a catch:
They called this an incompletion? It was ruled TD on the field.

That was a third-down play, and an incomplete pass on fourth down sealed the victory for the Commodores, but the Rebels weren’t happy about it. Brown took to Twitter after the game to express his frustration:
A.J. Brown: “Two feet down, knee down, controlled it, tucked it, brought it back out. How much control do you need?”

The Rebels are justifiably upset, but that won’t change the result. Instead, Vanderbilt picked up a big win to set up a rivalry week game with Tennessee next week where the winner will clinch bowl eligibility.
