Davin Bellamy proved to be a great choice to wear a mic during his USFL game on Sunday for the New Orleans Breakers against the Tampa Bay Bandits.

Bellamy had several colorful comments, but once the game got out of reach, Bellamy put an end to any trash talk from the Bandits. While the final score was 34-3, Bellamy earlier said, “Bro, we done talking,” he said. “It’s 31-3, we have nothing to talk about. Bro, they’ve got 200 yards total.”

Bellamy was first defensive player drafted by the New Orleans Breakers, who selected the former Georgia linebacker.

Bellamy, who played for UGA from 2013-2017, has contributed to NFL practice squads and offseason rosters since he left Athens. Bellamy has spent time in the NFL with the Houston Texans, Cincinnati Bengals, Tennessee Titans and Los Angeles Chargers.

Bellamy at Georgia during the 2017 season played in all 15 games, and started in 14. He made 34 total tackles, including 7.5 tackles for lost yardage and 5 sacks.

Georgia fans may remember Bellamy after the Rose Bowl win over Oklahoma was heard telling Sooners quarterback Baker Mayfield to, “Humble yourself!” Bellamy yelled. “Humble yourself!”

We can only hope the USFL uses the mic more often with Bellamy.
