Devin Smith, a 3-star linebacker from Brunswick (Ga.), has narrowed his recruiting list to 2 schools. He’s also revealed when he will make his college commitment.

Smith, considered the No. 56 linebacker in the class of 2024, has zeroed in on a pair of SEC programs: Kentucky and LSU. He will decide between the Wildcats and Tigers on September 22, the day after Brunswick’s “City Championship” contest against crosstown rival Glynn Academy, he revealed on X on Monday.

Smith currently has 33 offers, highlighted by a host of SEC programs. LSU is a relatively new offer as Brian Kelly and his staff extended it on July 10. Kentucky, meanwhile, offered in May 2022.

And a former star from one of Smith’s finalists is doing some recruiting of his own. DeAndre Square, now with the Los Angeles Rams, reached out to Smith to encourage him to select the Wildcats:

As a junior at Brunswick, Smith totaled 63 tackles, 10.0 tackles for a loss, and 6.0 sacks. He made 61 stops, 16.0 TFLs, and 6.0 sacks as a sophomore.
