LSU offensive lineman Ed Ingram was suspended indefinitely for a violation of team rules by coach Ed Orgeron, but the rest of the Tigers’ offensive linemen will have to move on.

That’s what senior guard Garrett Brumfield said when he was asked about Ingram’s suspension at LSU camp on Monday.

“There’s 12 games in a season that we have to be prepared for, so not to say that we don’t wish the best for him, but like I said, the starting five are going to come together and be who the starting five are, whoever those guys are,” Brumfield told the media. “Coach O always preaches, ‘Next man up,’ you never know when something’s going to happen, whether it’s on the field, injury, off the field, anything like that. Unfortunately things like that do occur, but there’s a lot of football that we have to play.”

Ingram was projected to be the starter at right guard, but it is unclear when he will return from his suspension. Brumfield, who has played 36 games for the Tigers over the past three seasons, will help LSU’s offensive line focus on moving on.
