Semper Fidelis Bowl holding steady with 18 SEC commitments

Only in its third year of existence, the Semper Fi Bowl has a national television contract, a major league stadium, and it’s attracting big-name talent from big-name schools. Right now, 18 SEC commitments plan to play in it.

Vanderbilt QB commitment K.J. Carta-Samuels is one of the top participants, as is Alabama offensive lineman commit Montel McBride and super active Florida DB commit Duke Dawson. Tennessee, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt all have three prospects a piece in the game.

Also among some of the top uncommitted players looking at SEC schools, South Carolina RB target Derrell Scott is planning to be at the game.

The game will be played on Sunday, Jan. 5 at 9 p.m. EST in Corona, California.  It will be televised on Fox Sports 1.
