Gators, ‘Dawgs, Vols and ‘Tide in good shape to finish hot in recruiting

During the month of June, Saturday Down South counted down the top 30 uncommitted prospects who we think could end up in the SEC. The Gators, Georgia, Tennessee and Alabama lead the way as best potential finishers.

The Gators probably have the SEC’s best chance to horde the most of the nation’s elite uncommitted talent. In fact, Florida is a realistic landing point for four of the top 13 players in the list. Georgia has a good shot at landing the No. 1 overall prospect in America, Trent Thompson, along with three others on the list. Tennessee is in serious play for five of the 30, while Alabama could be considered a threat to land up to five of them.

South Carolina, Auburn, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Texas A&M, LSU, Kentucky and Mizzou also could end up with at least one of the 30.

Below is the list of 30 players highlighted during the month June with Brian McLaughlin’s SEC prediction for each. Two (Alex Ofodile and Damarkus Lodge) did choose schools after being featured.

On every individual player page, SDS predicts where each of these top prospects will sign come February.

Editor’s note: For this particular series, Saturday Down South’s order for ‘likely SEC recruits’ is determined using the industry composite ranking (as of June 1st ranking).
