PHOTOS: 12 former SEC players receive largest Super Bowl rings ever
The New England Patriots went big — real big — on their new Super Bowl rings.
That’s not surprising either, considering it was the Patriots’ fifth Super Bowl victory and the most dramatic fourth quarter in the game’s illustrious history. Thanks to several former SEC players, many of whom made major contributions, the Patriots are the reigning champions once again. New England defeated Atlanta 34-28 in overtime to win Super Bowl 51.
And after such a remarkable comeback, the Patriots are now sporting the largest Super Bowl rings of all time. Former Auburn DB Brandon King showed his off on Instagram, and it’s easy to get a sense of just how massive the new bling is.
The Patriots shared a video on Twitter detailing the new ring, and the ring itself has five Lombardi Trophies on it:

These 12 former SEC players all received their rings Friday night at the home of Robert Kraft, the Patriots’ owner:

Malcolm Mitchell — Georgia
Barkevious Mingo — LSU

Justin Coleman — Tennessee
Martellus Bennett – Texas A&M (played in the Big 12)
And just to rub salt in the Falcons’ wounds, the ring sports 283 diamonds, which helps celebrate the massive comeback that started when it was 28-3.
