Five total former first-round picks in the 2019 NFL Draft haven’t signed their rookie contracts. Two of them are from the SEC.

Former Alabama standout Quinnen Williams and former LSU defender Devin White still haven’t signed their rookie contracts yet.

The New York Jets drafted Williams with the third pick overall, and he won’t report to training camp Friday, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. It’s the second year the Jets will open camp despite not singing their first-round pick. Last year, it was QB Sam Darnold; this year, it’s Williams. This isn’t too alarming, as Darnold went on to win the starting QB job last year despite reporting a week late. Williams may do the very same thing along the defensive line, assuming the deal gets done in a week’s time.

White, on the other hand, was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with the fifth pick overall. Just because he hasn’t signed, though, it hasn’t kept him from participating with the team. He was at rookie mini-camp and at mandatory mini-camp. The Bucs kick off training camp next Friday, July 26.

The three other first-round picks who haven’t signed are former Ohio State star Nick Bosa (49ers), former Duke QB Daniel Jones (Giants) and former FSU defender Brian Burns (Panthers).
