Dreams came true for 12 former SEC players Thursday night at the NFL Draft, and Myles Garrett was obviously the big winner.

As the No. 1 pick in the draft, Garrett is set to get a massive payday, and he’s projected to receive more than a $20 million signing bonus with the Cleveland Browns.

Some first-round picks will help their families in need, while others will spend their money faster than they can get it. Others may wish to put aside a massive portion for when they get older in life.

The NFL has strict guidelines on the contracts that drafted rookies receive upon entering the league. The salary cap and the Rookie Compensation Pool both dictate the contract amounts for rookies in the league.

First-round draftees receive four-year contracts, and the teams also get a fifth-year option to hold onto the rights of that player.
