The 2023 NFL Draft is just around the corner, as it will begin on Thursday, April 27, in Kansas City.

The Carolina Panthers recently traded up with the Chicago Bears for the No. 1 overall pick, and many analysts expect Ohio State QB CJ Stroud to be the first player off the board in April.

However, don’t count NFL.com expert Daniel Jeremiah among those on the Stroud bandwagon. In his latest Round 1 mock draft, Jeremiah had Alabama QB Bryce Young going No. 1 overall — 1 of 9 SEC stars in the first 31 picks:

  • No. 1 — Bryce Young, QB, Alabama — Carolina Panthers
  • No. 3 — Will Anderson Jr., Edge, Alabama — Arizona Cardinals
  • No. 4 — Anthony Richardson, QB, Florida — Indianapolis Colts
  • No. 5 — Jalen Carter, DL, Georgia — Seattle Seahawks
  • No. 13 — Nolan Smith, Edge, Georgia — New York Jets
  • No. 17 — Broderick Jones, OL, Georgia — Pittsburgh Steelers
  • No. 19 — Will Levis, QB, Kentucky — Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  • No. 23 — Hendon Hooker, QB, Tennessee — Minnesota Vikings
  • No. 28 — Darnell Wright, OL, Tennessee — Cincinnati Bengals
