A blue-chip tight end from California is giving serious consideration to playing in the SEC.

4-star TE Cameron McDonald of Long Beach Poly has revealed a top eight with four SEC teams via his Twitter account.

On the 247Sports Composite, McDonald is rated the No. 12 tight end, No. 34 California prospect and No. 267 overall recruit. At this time, five recruiting experts have predicted that he will stay close to home and sign with USC. The Trojans are noticeably the top team on his list above. McDonald, who has 13 scholarship offers so far, says he’s still open to new offers. Florida and Vanderbilt both extended scholarship offers but did not make the top eight.
