There are a half-dozen nonconference games Saturday as many SEC teams get ready for big rivalry showdowns next weekend, but there’s still plenty of interesting conference games on the slate as well.

Here’s the five best games to watch this weekend.

  1. Mississippi State at Arkansas (7 p.m. ET, ESPN): The Razorbacks have been hotter than blazes the past month and the Bulldogs will have a battle on their hands trying to slow down the Brandon Allen-led offense. It’s going to be interesting to see how Hail State bounces back after the loss to Alabama.
  2. LSU at Ole Miss (3:30 p.m. ET, CBS): The Tigers have lost two in a row after winning the first seven and getting all the way up to No. 2 in the polls. It’s going be interesting to see if Leonard Fournette can get his groove back after two sub-par performances. The Rebels are coming off a bye week and should be ready to go.
  3. Tennessee at Missouri (7:15 p.m. ET, ESPN2): It’s Gary Pinkel’s final home game at Missouri after a brilliant career in Columbia. It’s sad to see him go, because he’s made Missouri football relevant. Whoever replaces him has some big shoes to fill. Tennessee has won three in a row and wants to win out, but the Vols have never beaten Missouri since they joined the SEC in 2012.
  4. Texas A&M at Vanderbilt (7:30 p.m. ET, SEC Network): The Commodores have put together a couple of SEC wins at home with a sturdy defense and just enough offense. Texas A&M is keeping secrets about its starting quarterback, so it will be gamete decision. Freshman Kyler Murray has started the last two games but former starter Kyle Allen looked good off the bench last week. Should be interesting to see what they can do against that tough Vanderbilt defense.
  5. Florida Atlantic at Florida (noon ET, SEC Network):  This is the most interesting of the nonconference games because there are still plenty of questions about the Florida offense led by Treon Harris. With Florida State nest week and the SEC Championship Game the week after that, this is the perfect time for the Gators to rack up some points.

Also on the schedule this weekend are The Citadel at South Carolina (noon ET, SEC Network-Plus), Idaho at Auburn (4 p.m. ET, SEC Network) Charleston Southern at Alabama (4 p.m. ET, SEC Network-Plus), Georgia Southern at Georgia (7 p.m. ET, ESPNU) and Charlotte at Kentucky (7:30 p.m. ET, SEC Network)
