When you’ve won four national championships in the past decade like Alabama has, you probably don’t have many losses on your resume.

However, the losses you do have are likely devastating and memorable, as is the case with Nick Saban’s squad.

In fact, three of the four most exciting games of the past 10 years, according to Sports Illustrated, involved Alabama losses.

From the Kick-Six game in 2013, to Cam Newton’s 24-0 comeback in 2010 to this year’s national championship game, Crimson Tide losses are prominent on the list, along with a big-time Texas A&M bowl victory and a classic Mizzou-Kansas Border War game from when the Tigers were still in the Big 12:

  • No. 7: Texas A&M 52, Duke 48 (2013)
  • No. 6: Missouri 36, Kansas 28 (2007)
  • No. 4: Clemson 35, Alabama 31 (2017)
  • No. 3: Auburn 28, Alabama 27 (2010)
  • No. 1: Auburn 34, Alabama 28 (2013)

Since 2008, those two exciting Iron Bowl games are the only times the Tigers have beaten their in-state rivals in the big game, but those victories will be remembered for a long time.

Likewise, Mizzou fans will remember that big win against Kansas and Aggie fans will look back fondly on that bowl victory.

With so many good matchups scheduled for this fall, it’s likely that another all-time classic could be seen when the 2017 season kicks off.
