The 2019 NBA Draft is less than a month away, and before the end of May, players will have to decide whether they’re staying in the draft pool or returning to school.

A number of SEC players are likely to get drafted this year, and a few will go in Round 1.

In Bleacher Report analyst Joe Tansey’s latest mock draft, he has seven SEC stars hearing their names called in the first round:

  • No. 6 — Darius Garland, PG, Vanderbilt — Phoenix Suns
  • No. 14 — PJ Washington, F, Kentucky — Boston Celtics
  • No. 21 — Grant Williams, F, Tennessee — Oklahoma City Thunder
  • No. 22 — Chuma Okeke, F, Auburn — Boston Celtics
  • No. 23 — Keldon Johnson, G/F, Kentucky — Utah Jazz
  • No. 26 — Tyler Herro, G, Kentucky — Cleveland Cavaliers
  • No. 30 — Nicolas Claxton, F, Georgia — Milwaukee Bucks

Claxton is rising up draft boards, but has yet to make his final decision. If he’s a projected first-round pick, though, he’ll likely remain in the draft.
