There hasn’t been much “who’s in/who’s out” drama surrounding SEC teams in the NCAA Tournament since bracket experts declared that eight teams from the conference would go dancing.

Predicting which region will land each of the eight and the exact seed, however, proves to be a guessing game right up until the official selections are revealed. ESPN expert Joe Lunardi has provided two Sunday updates to his bracket before the conference tournament wraps up.

All eight teams from the Saturday bracket remain in the tournament, but Lunardi has shifted a few teams around as far as which region they will be playing in. Auburn and Tennessee, the two teams who claimed a share of the regular-season title, remain the highest-seeded teams from the SEC.

  • Auburn – No. 3 (Midwest)
  • Tennessee – No. 3 (South)
  • Kentucky – No. 5 (East)
  • Florida – No. 6 (West)
  • Arkansas – No. 7 (East)
  • Texas A&M – No. 7 (West)
  • Mizzou – No. 8 (West)
  • Alabama – No. 9 (South)

On a busy basketball day like Sunday, Lunardi’s projections are unlikely to be set in stone. Conference tournament action, including the Tennessee–Kentucky outcome, may lead to a few seed or region changes. It’s certainly better than sweating it out on the bubble.
