The SEC usually has at least 10 players go in Round 1 of the NFL Draft, and that looks like it could happen again in 2020.

However, on Monday, CBS Sports analyst Chris Trapasso released an updated mock draft that only had 9 SEC stars in Round 1.

As you can see below, he has Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa going No. 2 overall, followed by 3 other Alabama players, 2 LSU players, 2 Georgia players and a Tennessee Volunteer:

  • No. 2 — Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Alabama — Miami Dolphins
  • No. 3 — Andrew Thomas, OT, Georgia — Cincinnati Bengals
  • No. 5 — Jerry Jeudy, WR, Alabama — New York Giants
  • No. 11 — Kristian Fulton, DB, LSU — Arizona Cardinals
  • No. 20 — Grant Delpit, S, LSU — Detroit Lions
  • No. 21 — Henry Ruggs III, WR, Alabama — Los Angeles Chargers
  • No. 23 — Trevon Diggs, DB, Alabama — Atlanta Falcons
  • No. 26 — J.R. Reed, DB, Georgia — New England Patriots
  • No. 27 — Trey Smith, OL, Tennessee — Green Bay Packers

This will change as the year goes on, but for now, it’s a good look at how these players stand.
