2017 recruiting is starting to heat up now that the 2016 prospects have already signed.

Four-star athlete Amari Rodgers is helping to kick this cycle off by committing next week on Valentine’s Day. 247Sports projects Rodgers to be a wide receiver, but he also plays safety and running back. He’s a do-it-all type of prospect, and he lists two SEC teams in his top five — Tennessee and Alabama.

It’s no surprise Tennessee made the cut, because Rodgers hails from Knoxville and he’s the son of former Vols’ quarterback Tee Martin, but Clemson is thought to be the favorite to land his commitment.

Rodgers decommitted from Southern Cal on December 9.
