The NCAA and ACC gave the state of North Carolina a one-two punch this week, pulling out major events including the ACC Championship Game as a result of the controversial “HB2” law.

Yesterday, SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey commented that the SEC needs to further discuss the status of playing in the Belk Bowl in light of current circumstances.

The Belk Bowl is an ACC-SEC matchup set to be played at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, N.C.

Theoretically the bowl itself could be moved, but Belk is the current sponsor and their headquarters is in Charlotte as well.

Once you begin moving events out of the state, don’t you have to move everything out of the state? Maybe. Maybe not.
