Baker Mayfield is the 83rd winner of the Heisman Trophy.

The Oklahoma quarterback ran away with college football’s most prestigious individual award, beating out defending Heisman-winner and Lousiville quarterback Lamar Jackson as well as Stanford running back Bryce Love. No other players were honored as finalists this year.

Mayfield, who was a finalist for the award last season, threw for 4,340 yards, 41 touchdowns, compared to only five interceptions. He rushed for another 310 yards and five touchdowns. Mayfield’s Sooners are set to play Georgia in the national Playoff semifinal in the Rose Bowl.

Jackson has an amazing season, throwing for 3,489 yards, 25 touchdowns and only six interceptions. He added 1,443 rushing yards and another 17 scores on the ground. Jackson also had a career-best 60.4 completion percentage. Jackson’s Louisville team will play Mississippi State in the TaxSlayer Bowl.

Love had a breakout season for the Cardinal, rushing for 1,923 yards and 17 touchdowns. He averaged 8.3 yards per carry this year. Stanford is playing TCU in the Alamo Bowl this bowl season.
