Don’t expect Missouri to not recruit well on the defensive side of the ball under new coach Barry Odom.

Marvin Terry, a 6-foot-2, 222-pound defensive end out of South Oak Cliff High School in Dallas, committed to the Tigers this weekend. The 2016 weak side rusher is a four-star recruit, according to 247Sports’ composite ranking.

Terry was offered by several big-name programs, many of them in the Big 12, such as Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, TCU and Texas Tech. Terry was expected to join the Red Raiders, according to 247Sports’ crystal ball prediction.

Some of the other notable schools to offer Terry were Arkansas, Miami (FL), Oregon, UCLA and Wisconsin.

Terry is the second-highest rated player among the 15 Missouri recruits in their Class of 2016.
