The 2020 NBA Draft has reportedly been pushed back to Oct. 16, with a new deadline for players to declare early on Oct. 6.

So, that means some SEC standouts can take more time evaluating their upcoming decisions, and that could impact Round 1 of the draft.

As you can see below, in Bleacher Report writer Zach Buckley’s latest mock draft, he has 6 SEC stars going in Round 1:

  • No. 1 — Anthony Edwards, G, Georgia — Golden State Warriors
  • No. 9 — Isaac Okoro, F, Auburn — Washington Wizards
  • No. 13 — Aaron Nesmith, F, Vanderbilt — New Orleans Pelicans
  • No. 15 — Kira Lewis Jr., G, Alabama — Orlando Magic
  • No. 16 — Tyrese Maxey, G, Kentucky — Minnesota Timberwolves
  • No. 21 — Robert Woodard II, G, Mississippi State — Denver Nuggets

We’ll see if the NBA is able to hold a combine or not amid the COVID-19 pandemic, but for now, players have plenty of time to make these important decisions.
