Only a few days have passed since Louisville’s firing of coach Bobby Petrino, but — naturally — Vegas is already getting in on the action for his replacement.

Gambling website Bovada released odds for the next Cardinals coach, which you can see below courtesy of a tweet from CBS Sports’ Barrett Sallee.

It’s no surprise to see Purdue coach Jeff Brohm as a heavy favorite, considering he played for Louisville before serving as an offensive assistant there in the mid-2000s. Ohio State offensive coordinator Ryan Day, Clemson defensive coordinator Brent Venables, Syracuse coach Dino Babers and Iowa State coach Matt Campbell are the other Power 5 contenders for the job, according to Bovada.

But a few trendy Group of 5 head coaches are also potentially in the mix. Troy coach Neal Brown has the second-best odds at 4/1, followed by Cincinnati’s Luke Fickell, Toledo’s Jason Candle and Appalachian State’s Scott Satterfield.

It is a bit of a surprise to see no current SEC coaches listed by Bovada, especially given the conference’s proximity Louisville.

Cardinals safeties coach Lorenzo Ward, who’s currently the interim coach, isn’t on Bovada’s list.
