Alabama running back Derrick Henry has recently emerged as the unofficial favorite for the Heisman Trophy. But one Heisman voter says his vote will go to someone else.

Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton has a Heisman vote. And the player he plans to give it to is a guy who bears some resemblance to the former Auburn star: Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson.

Newton and Watson have similar playing styles. Both dual threat quarterbacks are dangerous with their arms and their feet. Both of them also come from Georgia.

Newton won the Heisman Trophy in 2010. That year, he passed for 2,854 yards and 30 touchdowns. He also rushed for 1,473 yards and 20 touchdowns. And he led Auburn to the national championship.

This season, Watson, a sophomore, has thrown for 2,593 yards and 23 touchdowns in 10 games. He has rushed for 594 yards and five scores. And he has led Clemson to a No. 1 ranking in the AP and Coaches polls and the College Football Playoff rankings.
