Earlier today Brett McMurphy dropped some major news on Ohio State head football coach Urban Meyer and his possible knowledge of longtime assistant Zach Smith and alleged domestic violence with his ex-wife Courtney Smith.

The ripple effect of this news is very concerning for Meyer and the Ohio State program; so much that he may or may not be the Ohio State coach come kickoff in just a month. While tons of chatter and speculation continue to come out on social media and the news about Meyer’s knowledge of this account and what his future may hold, others are speaking out too and some are candid and not so nice, like former Ohio State quarterback Cardale Jones.

Jones – who helped quarterback the Buckeyes to the 2014 National Championship had this to say on Twitter today:

You cannot directly pin this tweet back to Meyer and the situation, but have to assume based on the time stamp, this was a backhanded comment directed at his former head coach.

Jones and Meyer didn’t have the best relationship after 2014 as Meyer sometimes criticized his quarterback publicly and Jones failed to outright win the starting job in 2015, sharing time with J.T. Barrett. Jones went on to the NFL, where he has seen minimal action with the Buffalo Bills and Los Angeles Chargers.
