The 2022 NFL Draft is just around the corner, taking place at the end of April in Las Vegas.

When NFL commissioner Roger Goodell steps to the podium on Thursday, April 28, to kick off Round 1, several SEC players are locks to hear their names called.

In CBS Sports analyst Jeff Kerr’s latest Round 1 mock draft, 11 SEC standouts are expected to hear their names called, starting with the No. 1 overall pick:

  • No. 1 — Evan Neal, OL, Alabama — Jacksonville Jaguars
  • No. 5 — Charles Cross, OL Mississippi State — New York Giants
  • No. 12 — Derek Stingley Jr., CB, LSU — Minnesota Vikings
  • No. 13 — Travon Walker, DL, Georgia — Houston Texans
  • No. 16 — Matt Corral, QB, Ole Miss — New Orleans Saints
  • No. 17 — Jordan Davis, DL, Georgia — Los Angeles Chargers
  • No. 18 — Jameson Williams, WR, Alabama — Philadelphia Eagles
  • No. 20 — Kenyon Green, OL, Texas A&M — Pittsburgh Steelers
  • No. 26 — Nakobe Dean, LB, Georgia — Tennessee Titans
  • No. 29 — Treylon Burks, WR, Arkansas — Kansas City Chiefs
  • No. 30 — Roger McCreary, CB, Auburn — Kansas City Chiefs

We’ll see if there are any late shifts on teams’ draft boards, but one thing is for sure — plenty of SEC talent should go in Round 1 once again this year!
